Chattanooga Gas Company Names Steve Lindsey Vice President of Operations August 14, 2003
CHATTANOOGA, TN - August 14, 2003 - Steve Lindsey has been named vice president of operations for Chattanooga Gas Company (CGC), which serves approximately 60,000 customers in the Chattanooga area. He will be responsible for all aspects of the Chattanooga operations.
Lindsey comes to CGC from its affiliate company, Atlanta Gas Light Company (AGLC), where he served as managing director - marketing, new business and marketer services. Both CGC and AGLC are subsidiaries of AGL Resources, an Atlanta-based energy services holding company.
"I am looking forward to working with CGC general manager Larry Buie to find new ways to serve our customers in the Chattanooga area," said Lindsey. "He and I also see opportunities for CGC to become more involved in Chattanooga's economic development activities."
At AGLC, Lindsey also served as managing director - field operations. In his 14 years at AGLC, he has held a variety of positions: manager - engineering; new construction supervisor; distribution engineer; and commercial and industrial representative.
A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Lindsey currently serves on the advisory board for the Atlanta Union Mission. He plans to continue his commitment to civic and charitable causes in Chattanooga.
Lindsey and his wife, Cynthia, have a daughter Morgan, 4, and a son, Andrew, 1. They will live in Chattanooga.
