AGL Resources Names Steve Lindsey Vice President and General Manager, Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light Operations March 7, 2005
ATLANTA, Ga. – March 7, 2005 – Atlanta-based AGL Resources (NYSE:ATG), parent company of Atlanta Gas Light (AGL) and Chattanooga Gas, has named Steve Lindsey, vice president and general manager of Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light Operations.
In his new position, Lindsey will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and market development of Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light, part of AGL Resources’ Southeastern Region. Additionally, his duties will also include executive oversight of marketing and regulatory affairs for Chattanooga Gas.
“Steve has distinguished himself as a leader during the past two years in overseeing operations at Chattanooga Gas,” said Suzanne Sitherwood, senior vice president of AGL Resources Southeastern Operations and president of Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. “He is the right person at the right time to take on these additional responsibilities to manage our utilities and to provide natural gas service at the levels our customers have come to expect from us.”
Prior to this move, Lindsey served as vice president of operations for Chattanooga Gas.
Lindsey’s career at AGL Resources began in 1989. He has held a variety of positions within the company’s subsidiary Atlanta Gas Light, including: managing director – marketing, new business and marketer services; managing director, field operations where he was responsible for daily operations and field services; manager, engineering and new construction supervisor; distribution engineer; and commercial and industrial representative.
Lindsey is a member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga and the Tennessee Gas Association.
A native of Cedartown, Georgia, Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1989. Lindsey and his family live on Signal Mountain, Tenn.
