Chattanooga Gas Employees March for Stronger, Healthier Babies
The company will participate in the March for Babies walk in Chattanooga
April 26, 2013
CHATTANOOGA – At Chattanooga Gas, efforts that give back to the community are not a dime a dozen. The company has a rich tradition of partnering with March of Dimes to give all babies a healthy start.
That support will continue as Chattanooga Gas kicks off the annual fundraising campaign to benefit research, education and innovative programs that help save premature babies born with severe health problems.
Employees from Chattanooga Gas will gather with friends and families at Camp Jordan Arena in Chattanooga on Sunday, May 5 to take part in the March for Babies walks, which celebrates its 75th anniversary. Their efforts will be supported by fellow employees from the AGL Resources’ family of companies as they walk in six communities throughout four states.
“Each day we strive to give back to the communities where we live and work,” said Bryan Batson, president of Chattanooga Gas. “Our support of March of Dimes is one of the ways we work to make a difference in the community and demonstrate one of our core values – generosity of spirit.”
The March for Babies is the March of Dimes signature event, with more than 900 walks nationwide.
