Pressure Improvement Project FAQ
How will I know if Chattanooga Gas is doing pressure improvement work in my area?
Chattanooga Gas will send notification letters to residents and business owners directly along the project path two weeks prior to the start of the work. Chattanooga Gas contractors will also place door hangers at those homes and businesses one week prior to the start of construction.
What can I expect to see during the work?
Residents and business owners may notice an increase in construction vehicle traffic during the project. The work also may require temporary lane closures with traffic control measures placed in accordance with local requirements. The safety of the public, our customers and our workers is always top priority for Chattanooga Gas.
Will the work directly impact my property?
In some cases, the work may require Chattanooga Gas contractors to disturb grassy or paved areas. Any area that is disturbed will be restored to its pre-construction condition once the pipeline work is complete.
Will the pressure improvement work in my area interrupt my gas service?
No, the project work will not have any impact on customer gas service or service lines.
How long will the work take?
The time frame for individual projects can vary based on weather conditions and terrain.
Who can I call if I have more questions about the work?
