Work In Your Neighborhood

Chattanooga Gas provides safe and reliable natural gas service to approximately 69,000 customers in southeast Tennessee. To ensure the safety and reliability of our pipeline infrastructure, we continually perform regular safety checks and maintenance. There's a chance that you may see our qualified employees and contractors performing work in your neighborhood. Chattanooga Gas reminds community members to remain vigilant around any active construction site and practice the following safety precautions:

  • Keep children and pets safe by keeping them away from construction areas
  • Do not park in marked construction zones
  • Drive carefully when in construction zones
  • Follow and obey the direction of traffic signs and on-site crews

Pipeline Replacement Program (PRP)

The Pipeline Replacement Program (PRP) is an infrastructure improvement project which will replace more than 110 miles of aging pipelines in Chattanooga with state-of-the-art plastic and steel pipes. This project will ensure the ongoing safety and reliability of the Chattanooga Gas natural gas pipeline system.

Property owners directly impacted by the project work will receive a letter prior to the start of the work. There may be temporary inconveniences to residents who live in the project areas. Chattanooga Gas will strive to minimize any impact in your community during construction.
