Rebates are eligible ONLY for those who meet the following conditions:

Residential Water Heater Conversion Rebate Program

Terms and Conditions

Natural Gas Tank Style Water Heater: $400 for electric or propane to natural gas conversion
Natural Gas Tankless Water Heater: $500 for electric or propane to natural gas conversion

Program runs January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025. Rebate available to new and existing customers (as defined below) and applies to the purchase of a new qualifying natural gas water heater installed to replace an existing electric or propane water heater purchased from any Tennessee contractor licensed and certified to install natural gas water heaters. This offer is only valid for residential dwellings previously using propane or electric water heating. Customers must have a gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas Company (“Chattanooga Gas”)(“customer”). Installation must be completed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and building codes imposed by federal, state, and local authorities. Online rebate claim must be submitted within 45 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product. Supporting documentation must be postmarked within 45 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product. No exceptions. Customers or HVAC dealers are responsible for submitting the rebate claim directly to Chattanooga Gas within the timeframe established for the program. There is a limit of one Chattanooga Gas rebate per installed appliance, and rebate cannot be combined with any other Chattanooga Gas offers or incentives. Hybrid water heaters with both a tank and tankless unit are considered one appliance. Rebate value not to exceed the total cost of the natural gas equipment plus the cost of installation. Maximum annual rebate value per service address for all Chattanooga Gas residential rebate promotions is $3,000. Offer valid for pre-existing homes, condominiums, apartments, or townhouses in the Chattanooga Gas service territory that previously had electric or propane water heating equipment. Offer not valid for new construction. If natural gas was historically used at the premise for water heat, an alternative fuel must have been recently used for water heat for a minimum duration of 36 months to qualify. Employees of Chattanooga Gas, dealers and retailers are eligible to participate in this offer so long as they meet all other criteria. Please allow at least eight weeks after your completed claim (including supporting documentation as required per offer) is submitted to receive your rebate. For new premises, rebate will not be paid until premise is active. Rebate will be fulfilled via a check paid in U.S. dollars. Chattanooga Gas is not responsible for lost, late, damaged, postage due, misdelivered, or misdirected mail and incomplete or illegible submissions or transmission errors or failures for electronic submissions. Residential Furnace Conversion Rebate Program

Terms and Conditions

Natural Gas Heating System (new customer): $1,000 for electric to natural gas conversion

Natural Gas Heating System (existing customer): $500 for electric to natural gas conversion

Natural Gas Heating System (new and existing customers): $500 for propane to natural gas conversion

Program runs January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025. Rebate available to new and existing customers (as defined below) applies to the purchase of a new qualifying natural gas furnace purchased to replace an existing electric heat pump or propane furnace purchased from any Tennessee contractor licensed and certified to install natural gas furnaces. Dual fuel systems do not qualify. This offer is only valid for residential dwellings previously using electric heat pump space heating or propane heating who are converting to a new natural gas furnace. Customers must have a gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas Company (“Chattanooga Gas”)(“customer”). To be eligible for the new customer rebate, the premise must not have had natural gas in the past 36 months. Installation must be completed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and building codes imposed by federal, state, and local authorities. Online rebate claim must be submitted within 45 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product. Residential Dryer Conversion Rebate Program

Terms and Conditions

Natural Gas Dryer: $200

Program runs January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025. Rebate available to new and existing customers (as defined below) and applies to the purchase of a new qualifying natural gas dryer purchased to replace an existing electric or propane dryer purchased from any authorized retailer. This offer is only valid for residential customers who have a gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas Company (“Chattanooga Gas”)(“customer”). Installation must be completed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and building codes imposed by federal, state, and local authorities. If natural gas was historically used at the premise for drying, an alternative fuel must have been recently used for drying for a minimum duration of 36 months to qualify. Online rebate claim must be submitted within 45 days of purchase of qualifying product. Supporting documentation must be postmarked within 45 days of purchase of qualifying product. No exceptions. Customers or HVAC dealers are responsible for submitting the rebate claim directly to Chattanooga Gas within the timeframe established for the program. Commercial Water Heater Conversion Rebate Program

Rebate available to new and existing customers (as defined below) and applies to the purchase of new qualifying natural gas cooling equipment installed to replace existing electric or propane cooling equipment purchased from any Tennessee contractor licensed and certified to install commercial cooling equipment. This offer is only valid for commercial customers on a commercial rate as defined in the Chattanooga Gas Company (“Chattanooga Gas”) tariff (“customer”). Valid for commercial premises previously using propane or electric water cooling who have a gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas. Commercial Boiler Conversion Rebate Program

Natural Gas Boiler: $1,000 per 100K BTUs for electric or propane to natural gas conversion (up to $15,000)

Program runs January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2025. Rebate available to new and existing customers (as defined below) and applies to the purchase of a new qualifying natural gas boiler installed by any Tennessee contractor licensed and certified to install commercial boiler equipment. This offer is only valid for commercial customers on a commercial rate as defined in the Chattanooga Gas Company (“Chattanooga Gas”) tariff (“customer”). Valid for commercial premises not previously using a natural gas boiler who have a gas account in good standing with Chattanooga Gas. Installation must be completed in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and building codes imposed by federal, state and local authorities. Online rebate claim must be submitted within 45 days of purchase or installation of qualifying product.
