Warming our Communities: Chattanooga Gas and Operation Warm help local students thrive this Winter

A coat can serve a deeper purpose than protection from cold weather. For a child focused on learning, playing and simply being a kid, a warm coat can provide comfort, confidence and a sense of belonging.

That's why Chattanooga Gas partners with Operation Warm, helping connect local students with the resources they need to learn, grow and thrive. Our employees work with Title I elementary schools in Hamilton and Bradley counties that do not already have a coat partner, helping fill a gap between community needs and available resources. This fall, Chattanooga Gas donated approximately 100 new winter jackets to students. Since 2020, the company has provided approximately 1,400 essential clothing items to children through its partnership with Operation Warm.

For many children, receiving a coat can help them participate more fully in school, activities and everyday experiences. Through its ongoing partnership with Operation Warm, Chattanooga Gas helps bring warmth, confidence and hope to local students by providing new winter coats to children in schools that may not otherwise have access to a coat program.

At Chattanooga Gas, supporting strong communities starts with investing in the next generation. For the past five years, the company has partnered with Operation Warm to help local children feel prepared for the season ahead while supporting their overall well-being. Through partnerships like these, Chattanooga Gas continues to strengthen community connections and create opportunities for children to succeed today while helping build stronger communities for tomorrow.
