Tennessee state lawmakers honor Chattanooga Gas for exceptional service and community support

CHATTANOOGA, TN – April 6, 2026 — The Tennessee House of Representatives recently recognized Chattanooga Gas with a resolution honoring the company’s long‑standing commitment to providing clean, safe and reliable service to its approximate 72,000 customers, as well as for its continued support of communities across Hamilton and Bradley counties.

The resolution, sponsored by Rep. Yusuf Hakeem, D‑Chattanooga, was presented on March 30 and commended Chattanooga Gas for its dedication to strengthening communities in 2025 through more than 200 hours of volunteer service and ongoing charitable giving. That support included $125,000 awarded to nonprofit organizations focused on community enrichment and $35,000 provided to the United Way of Chattanooga and The Caring Place to help expand access to bill payment assistance and other resources to help create a pathway to stability.

Walt Farrell, president and CEO of Chattanooga Gas; Tiffany Callaway Ferrell, vice president of operations; Paul Leath, director of regional operations; and Jeff Petrea, manager of external affairs, joined lawmakers at the Tennessee State Capitol.

Farrell delivered remarks on behalf of the company.
