Here at Chattanooga Gas Company, we take appropriate protection measures to collect, store, use, and report your personal information in compliance with the Tennessee Information Protection Act (TIPA). We collect this information when consumers sign up for service or use our tools and programs, and we use it to communicate with our customers and optimize our services. Consumers have certain rights under TIPA to access, correct, and delete their personal data, and we are committed to respecting these rights. You can request a copy of your personal information that we have collected including where it is disclosed, or request to delete your personal information, subject to exclusions under the law.
In compliance with TIPA, effective July 1, 2025, consumers can exercise certain rights with respect to their personal information that Chattanooga Gas processes about them. Those rights may be exercised free of charge, up to twice annually and include the following: (1) the right to know what personal data is processed about them and the right to access that data; (2) the right to correct inaccurate personal data; (3) the right to request deletion of their personal data; (4) the right to receive a portable copy of their personal data; and (5) the right to opt out of the processing of their personal data. Please note that under TIPA, consumers generally may only make requests regarding their own personal information.
