2026 ARM Adjustment Request
The 2026 ARM filing seeks to recover through rates the spent capital and recovery of the costs of work already done in 2025 to meet the region’s growing demand for natural gas service. That critical work included strengthening the safety and reliability of the company’s infrastructure, which continues to provide uninterrupted services to customers even on the coldest days of the year. Rate Comparisons
New comparisons will be added later in the 2026 ARM process. However, past comparisons show the average Chattanooga Gas residential customer would have seen an average total bill for the named winter months as follows:
January
January 2025 of $135.85 as compared to January 2024 of $129.78.

The natural gas costs billed to customers reflect the impact of the available supply and the demand. Chattanooga Gas does not profit from these costs but passes through to customers only the costs that it incurs. The current per therm price customers pay for natural gas delivered by Chattanooga Gas comprises approximately 40% of a typical residential customer’s bill due to economic factors that have affected the commodity’s market price.
