Goals & Progress Highlights
Over the last 20 years, Chattanooga Gas has reduced annual methane emissions from its distribution system by approximately 53% while growing the distribution system by 17%.
From 2022 through 2024, customers who participated in our energy efficiency programs have received nearly $20k in rebate incentives and avoided more than 16 annual metric tons of CO2e emissions.

Our Path To A Sustainable Future
Southern Company Gas’ goal is to achieve net zero direct greenhouse gas emissions from its operations by 2050. We also support reducing emissions across the natural gas value chain, from gas production to transmission to end uses.
